3 Pro Tips for Buying NFL Tickets

By

There’s nothing quite like seeing your favorite team play in person. Win or lose, being there in the stands with thousands of other screaming fans is an experience worth the price of admission. Whether you’re going with a friend or have a big group making a cross-country trip to see a game, if you want to get the most value for your money and eliminate any potential issues, check out these three pro tips for buying your next NFL tickets.

Maximize Your Budget

If you’re like most people, you don’t have an unlimited budget. Otherwise, you’d be renting a private suite in the Skybox on the 50-yard line. Still, you can get phenomenal seats no matter your budget, so long as you have your priorities straight. Do you want to be as close to the field as possible, or do you value the best view of the whole field? While every NFL stadium is different, the layout of the seats is typically similar whether you’re seeing a game in Seattle or buying Detroit Lions tickets.

As a rule of thumb, the closer you are to the field, the more you’ll end up paying, and some lower-level seats, such as in the end zones, don’t provide the same full-field view as upper-deck seats. Plus, if you see a game somewhere like Dallas or Los Angeles, the monster jumbotrons provide some great close-up views of the action, even from the upper levels. Whatever your budget, do your research ahead of time and see what seating arrangements you value for your game day experience.

 Timing Can Be Important

There isn’t an exact science to timing the perfect NFL ticket purchase, but there are several time-related factors that can influence ticket prices. Even the cost of Super Bowl tickets can potentially go up or down once the playoff picture starts taking shape toward the end of the season. Sometimes buying face value directly from the venue can cost more than waiting and buying from an online ticket marketplace.

For example, if a team starts to slump midway through the season, demand might not be as high for a Week 16 game as it was for the season's opening game. In this case, sellers might simply be hoping to recoup some of their investment, and you could score a good deal. However, if you know you want to go to a specific game no matter what, it might be better to act sooner rather than later.

 Buy with Confidence

NFL tickets can be quite the investment, especially when you look at Super Bowl ticket prices, and the last thing you want to do is buy an unverified ticket from someone online. An NFL game experience is unlike any other, so buy with confidence from a leading ticket marketplace. Rather than messaging a random person on a forum or buying sketchy tickets in the parking lot, making your purchase on a reputable ticket marketplace provides peace of mind that your tickets are legit.
